Internal Alternative Provision (IAP)
Design and Development
Internal Alternative Provision (IAP) requires more than space, staffing and good intentions. It needs clear purpose, strong systems and a model that works for both pupils and the wider school or trust.
This support is designed for schools and trusts developing or strengthening internal alternative provision, whether at an early planning stage or looking to improve consistency, quality and reintegration outcomes. The focus is on creating provision that is purposeful, safe and sustainable, with clear pathways in, through and back into mainstream learning.Support can range from full design and setup through to ongoing leadership coaching, quality review and reintegration planning. All work is grounded in safeguarding, inclusion and practical delivery, helping settings move away from reactive models towards structured, accountable and effective internal provision.
“One of the best people I have ever worked with, a wiz with data and structuring teams. Super supportive and ensured everything ran smoothly even during tough moments.”
